Yep, after 2 weeks of being in the hospital my mom person is right back here where she belongs!

It will take us a while to get back up to speed and visit everyone, but I just had to share the great news with you, and she wants to thank you for all of the love :)

Christmas Presents From Sagira

Jazzi hosts a wonderful Blogville Christmas Exchange every year & this year Iwas lucky enough to get my gifts from the lovely Sagira, from Sagira's Agility Adventures.

First I got a snazzy collar & leash set. Aqua blue & brown really set of my fur, don't you think?

Here's a better picture of the collar and the leash next to each other so you can see the pattern.

Then there was this great squeaky guy.

He got taken away after I preformed some much needed emergency surgery on his appendages.

Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, my mom person pulled treats out of the box. Man, that Sagira is one generous and thoughtful gal!

Oh, you want a picture where you can see the treats without me attacking them, here you go.

But best of all was the pawsome letter that Sagira sent me.

Oskar is taking a little break at his grandma's house while I'm in Orlando attending the AKC Eukanuba National Championship as a guest blogger.

I got groomed today. I must have been super-duper bad because after my grooming I got this again.

My mom person says I look pitiful enough in these 2 pictures, that she won't put these on me again except for maybe once. I maybe believe her.

You can however see my new H. L. Whitingham collar.

The day ended well with our first mini game of Chase-It. We'll be doing a review & giveaway of this on Pet Blogs United soon.

Metro-Detroit Pet Expo & Frankies Puppy Ernie!

My people decided to go to the Metro-Detroit Pet Expo yesterday. I was not allowed to go because I am not very well socialized. Since my mom person has been sick for a while we don't get out much. We all decided it was best for me not to go since all the people and other dogs would make me too stressy.

The place was pretty big and bright. It was mostly rescue groups, not too many vendors selling pet related things, which disappointed my people a little.

There were dressed up dogs,

Dock diving dogs,

Mango sized dogs,

And even baby dogs that look like Frankies new puppy, Ernie.

My dad met a lovely lady dog & got some extra lovin'.

And then my mom got to pay a dollar to kiss a most loving and sweet pit bull girlie. My moms head is thrown back from the big slurp & you can see that this pibbles ears have been cut off with scissors. This made everybody sad inside, but that pibble was just as loving and happy as could be. We can't all people be good like dogs?

My mom person met lots of people from foster groups and told them about Pet Blogs United & our Foster Friday posts, so that they can get some of their pets featured.

It made them sad that they couldn't help take any animals home, but they left some green papers to help a little.

I hope next year I'll be socialized enough to be able and mingle with other furiends!

When we got up this morining, I tried to get my dad person to help me blog, but you can see by his sleepy eyes that he was not up for it.

So I agreed to help him read the paper (sometimes he gets stuck on the big words).

From this perch I can still watch my back yard for Devil squirrels.

Today I also want to thank all of the veterans who have kept us all safe. From my mom person's grandpa who drove a tank during WWII, to her dad who was drafted during Vietnam, but luckily spent all of his service time stateside, to the young man or woman our John's age who is fighting for us right now, we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Adoptable Friends Ronan & Ailene

Our friends Mayzie & her brudder Ranger are hosting rescue me week on her blog. You could win $100 for your favorite rescue just by featuring a pet who currently needs adopting!

We did a little looking and came up with Ronan & Ailene. They are hoping to be adopted together.

Ronan

Ronan is a neutered male DMH orange cat. Ronan is about 4 years old and current on his vaccines and feline leukemia tested and negative. He came to us with Ailene, whose picture is also on our website. It would be great if they could stay together. Ronan is a little shy at first and really didn't care for the car ride in a carrier to his new foster home. He hid under a bed for a few days and came out at night to eat. He is doing much better now and would adjust fine in a new home after a few days. Ronan's Petfinder page.

Ailene

Ailene is a DSH spayed, female around 2 years old. She came to us with Ronan, who you can also see on our website. If would be great if they could stay together as they have always had each other. Their owner was forced to find them another home when he moved into a place that wouldn't allow pets. Ailene weighs about 7 pounds. She has been feline leukemia tested and is current on her vaccines. Ailene was a little afraid when she came to her foster home but is adjusting quite well and will greet you at the door of her room. Ailene's Petfinder page.

We are sad that we can't adopt these cute buddies, but hopefully they will find a together forever home soon!

When I'm playing with my blue ball, or to use his proper name, Blue, I really like him to get a feel for things so I put him in the dirt as much as possible.

I can dig a great new hole over here. My mom person likes it so much when I help with the landscaping like this she yells and waves her arms with joy!

I put Blue in the hole for maximum dirt-spit mixing, of course. Perfect!

RIP Quorra

My oldest boy John David has rats. Unfortunately the momma rat, Quorra passed away on Sunday.

I didn't really like rats living in my house, but I sure didn't want her to cross the bridge, either.

John is very sad so I'm going to cuddle him as much as possible.

Today is post number 501 for me (woot) and I wanted to use it to Blog the Change.

The economy has gotten the animal adpotion shelters full of unwanted animals who sit in cages day after day, wondering what happened to the people who were supposed to take care of them.

Awsome Possum

I cornered a possum in my yard last night! It was super cool, my instincts kicked in and I went terrier on his hiney. Lucky for him, I couldn't get to him. My dad person even told me I was a good boy a lot since I'm a varmint hunter by nature. I'm not sure he would have felt the same if I actually got ahold of it!

Where are the pictures of the mighty hunter & his prey you ask? Well this all happened after my mom person went to sleep on the couch and no one else thinks to pick up the camera first, so here's a picture of me recuperating on the couch today. I have to rest up in case he comes back tonight. It is ON possum!

(Notice what a good job I do unfolding all of he blankets. It drives someone batty, but hey it's my couch right?)

Jazzi's National Taco Eating Day!

My friend Jazzi loves her some tacos. Since National Taco Day is today here is a picture of me with my taco.

No I was not allowed to actually eat it on the handmade quilt. I thought it would make a nice table cloth, but that idea was vetoed.

The other idea that was vetoed was letting me eat the taco at all! She let me sniff & lick it then took it away, gave me what I can only call a minute amount of beef & cheese and I never saw my taco again.

*sigh*

Maybe next year I'll get to eat the whole thing!

Once I get my mom person out to play with my blue ball, I have to roll it in several dirty holes that I've dug for just such an occasion.

Sometimes holes change over time & digging a new one (or two) is necessary.

When I dig a new hole it always excites my people. They call out my name and wave their arms like they are dancing!

Can't Sleep

Last night my mom person & I couldn't sleep we we moved onto the sunporch so as not to disturb my dad person.

Mom brough out blankets and pillows so that we could be cozy on the couch.

My end of the couch is all set, I was surprised to see she didn't bring out any pillows or blankets for herself. The far end of the couch won't be as comfortable for her.

I hope she doesn't keep me up when she finally goes to get herself pillows and blankets.

You may know that over on Pet Blogs United we are participating in K9 Kamp with a ton of our friends so we've been going for 20-30 minute walks when it's not raining.

Well today, you know who decided to mention the walk, of course turning me into a nubbin wiggling mess, when all of the sudden she sees the Pet Blogs United T-shirt she had made for me sitting in the basket & whammo! Faster than you can stop wiggling she decideds that we'll have a photo shoot before the walk she just promised me. Are you kidding me?

I'm really not talking to you right now.

Can you please tell me why I'm in this T-shirt instead of my walking harness?

I know, I'm going to tell my dad person on you! You know he doesn't like it when you dress me up in clothes.

Yesterday was Mo-Cats day & I was pleased to share my blog with Moe, but two days in a row might be a little much.

The blog is called The Daily Oskar, but She-Who-Has-The-Ability-To-Type, gets to veto me sometimes in the interest of fairness & in some misguided effort to "show me who's really the boss."

Anyway, here's another picture of Moe that my mom person thought "looked cool."

As for who's the boss around here, I just like to remind her who picks up who's poop. You don't see mee carrying baggies around on our walks, BOL!

Mo-Cats Day

After a brief spin around the internet this morning, I found out that today is Mo-Cats day.

Well I figured for Mo-Cats day I would show you Moe, one of the cats that lives here with me.

My mom person says I have to mention the yo-yo quilt bed cover that Moe is laying on. Her mother made it for her by hand!

It lived in the closet for 2 years because my mom person didn't want us pets to ruin it, but then she got sad cause she couldn't enjoy it. So out of the closet it came & we four-leggers do our best not to get crazy on the pretty thing!

Anyway, back to me, I want to wish all my feline friends a happy Mo-Cat day!

Flat Oskar really got around and met cool peeps at BlogHer. Here are some pics from the first day.

Here's a group of us flat pets in front of a giant bar of Ivory soap that a man was carving like an ice sculpture. It was really cool. The flat pets are (L to R) Skeezix, Mao, Tyler, Gracey, & yours truly!

We settled in to get a little office work done,

this is the Skinny Cow if you can see her through the crowd,

the Brawny Man didn't seem so brawny, but he was nice.

This was a lunch event for all the bloggers who had flat pets. Besides our group of Proctor & Gamble bloggers & employees, we met up with some of the BlogPaws folks who had their buddies along.

It was at this lunch that my mom person got to meet some of the ladies behind the I Can Has A Cheesburger network! They were super cool.

Flat Tyler & Flat Oskar got to post the with sun from the Jimmy Dean breakfast commercials,

My mom person thought that these were famous flat people, but I know that they're not more famous than me!

Flat Oskar & my mom person had a great time at BlogHer. They went to conferences, lunches, fancy dinners & got to meet an amazing group of people. She went with a group of bloggers sponsored by the Iams/Eukanuba division of Proctor & Gamble.

Mostly she took pictures of me with stuff, but there were a couple of photo booths where she took pictures with F.O. & her together like this one:

She doesn't really like posting photo's of herself, she always thinks she looks daffy, but since it's my blog, I convinced her that she had to!
